This activity has been conceptualized to unpack the invisible knapsack. Additionally, This article is based on Peggy McIntosh’s article on white privilege. These dynamics are but a few examples of the privilege which straight people have. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer-identified folk have a range of different experiences, but cannot count on most of these conditions in their lives. Overall, this run down of questions is meant as a reflection piece for people who are in the hetero normative spectrum of society construction of gender but it also serves as an activity to understand the daily effects of straight and cisgender privilege.
