This resource is a lesson plan for high schoolers that addresses “The Conversation” that many young black boys have about police violence. The lesson includes watching the short film, “A Conversation with My Black Son” in which parents who have had this difficult conversation share their stories. The students are then expected to look into the history of racial profiling and police violence and gain understanding about the presence of police violence and its consequences in the US.
